Guillotte Capital is a family-owned business that supports the development and success of entrepreneurship. As such, the company proudly invests in businesses with a proven potential for growth – and whose values align with Guillotte Capital's own fundamental vision.
Guillotte Capital is entrepreneurial to the core. Its founder, Paul-André Guillotte, was a well-known entrepreneur - long before entrepreneurship became part of everyday vernacular. Paul-André Guillotte had prospered in the agri-food sector in Quebec and across the rest of Canada. Paul-André is known as one of the great business leaders and builders in Quebec. He led Van Houtte Inc. to become the well respected coffee company of Canada. His entrepreneurial spirit and unprecedented passion for business and entrepreneurship live on in each and every Guillotte Capital associate.
When financing in a business of a partner company, Guillotte Capital brings a wealth of diverse expertise to the proverbial table. Our associates deliver unparalleled flexibility and attentiveness at every stage of the collaborative process – be it development, marketing, psychology, advice in all legal and financial aspects. Through the years, the building of Guillotte Capital's impressive financial network has truly become, well, a "capital" resource.
After graduating from law school, Claude-André acted as a lawyer in a large firm. In the ten years that followed, Claude-André held various positions in the agribusiness SME sector, particularly in the food processing and foodservice sectors. He also managed major commercial accounts with large Canadian food distributors.
Having completed a master's degree and a doctorate in business administration with a specialization in decision-making in cooperative and social enterprises, Claude-André currently holds a position as professor of management at the School of Management of the Université de Sherbrooke and is the acting director of a research Institute for cooperatives and mutuals, IRECUS.
Claude-André, a father of three, is a devoted family man, and he also lends a hand in his community. His interest in corporate governance and ethics is uncanny, and his passion for the world of business and leadership is contagious, to say the least.
Marie-Eve graduated from University of Sherbrooke with a Master's in Marketing (MSc).
After working several years for Loto-Québec as a Product Manager, Marie-Eve relocated to Vancouver in 2004 to continue her career in marketing, this time with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) in brand management. She spent over a decade there, earning several promotions, eventually becoming Senior Brand Manager. Marie-Eve is interested in everything related to product, advertising and brand management.
She also worked with a non-profit organization, the Watson Centre Society for Brain Health, as a volunteer, and was promoted to Chair of the Board after only one year in the position.
Marie-Eve stays in shape physically and mentally by running in her beautiful city of Vancouver. She also sits on other boards of directors, including that of her daughter's francophone school. She has a natural leadership (passed down from her father) and brings to the team her marketing knowledge as well as a strong work ethic.
After college studies in business administration, her interest in human resources led her to complete a bachelor's degree (University of Montreal) and a master's degree (University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières) in psychology. As a psychologist in private practice, she developed a practice in adult psychotherapy. She also conducted forensic psychology assessments for judges and lawyers.
Constantly keeping abreast of recent developments in her field, she completed a professional doctorate (DPs.) with a specialization in industrial and organizational psychology in 2025 at the University of Sherbrooke. Her doctoral thesis focused on the factors contributing to the effectiveness of management consulting.
Her professional practice is dedicated to organizational consulting and providing coaching and development sessions for executives and teams. Personalized and delivered virtually, the sessions are solution-oriented, designed to support managers in their leadership and team mobilization, helping them reach their full potential to effectively meet the demands and challenges of their executive roles within their organizations.
Andrée-Anne also leverages her interpersonal skills, integrity, probity, and meticulous pursuit of justice and fairness on the review committee of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (Quebec Order of Psychologists), as required by the Quebec Professional Code. Through her appointment, she ensures adherence to ethical standards, professional conduct, and the protection of the public using psychological services.
Integrity. Trust. Patience. These are key values that Guillotte Capital seeks out when partnering with entrepreneurs wishing to embark on a new phase of growth.
Although each potential collaboration is unique in its own make-up, a partner company who seeks to improve the experience and daily life of a customer, is ultimately what resonates with Guillotte Capital's moral compass.
In terms of limited partnerships, Guillotte Capital naturally engages with enterprises whose ethics are a mirror-image of their own – and whose prosperity will come by way of distinctive products and services that serve to benefit the consumer.
